Richard "Max" Maksimoski is the Industrial Liason for OBIC. He has partnered with OBIC since 2011 as an external business development consultant and technical advisor. In his current role as the Industrial Liaison, Max is responsible for identifying and recruiting companies to join the OBIC Bioproduct Network, oversight of the OBN, and technical/engineering support for a range of OBIC projects. Formerly, the Vice-President and Head of R&D/Quality for Elmer’s Products, Inc., he has over 28 years of R&D experience at a broad range of CPG companies and industries:
- Elmer’s Products (Stationery, Toy, Office, Hardware)
- Scotts Miracle-Gro (Lawn & Garden, Pesticides)
- Jergens/Kao Brands (Skin Care, Cosmetics, Food)
- Kraft Foods (full range of Food products)
- Procter & Gamble (Cosmetics, Hair Care)
Max has a proven track record of successful product platform launches and is recognized as an internal expert in merging technical opportunities with consumer needs to address business objectives. Max has managed the entire new product development effort from initial definition through to the marketplace for a full range of product platforms at each company. While at Scotts in 2005, Max was an original member of the OBIC Advisory Board.
