Midwest Bioeconomy Regional Forum

You are invited to attend this special one-day invitation-only forum titled “Addressing the Challenges & Opportunities of Advancing the Billion Ton BioEconomy.” This is the last of only five regional forums to be convened by the ATiP Foundation, at the request of the federal agencies, to garner input on how to implement a multi-year initiative on advancing the BioEconomy by 2020 to effectively utilize the billion tons of biomass expected to be sustainably produced annually.

The Biomass Research and Development (R&D) Board was created by Congress to coordinate programs within and among offices of the federal government to promote biobased industrial products. Members of the Biomass R&D Board consist of representatives from:

  • U.S. Department of Energy
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture
  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
  • U.S. Department of Interior
  • National Science Foundation
  • U.S. Department of Defense
  • U.S. Department of Transportation
  • Executive Office of The President of the United States
