Funding for the Advancement of Sustainable Technologie

Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center (OBIC) and the Office of Energy and Environment (OEE) invite you to a one-day workshop that will bring together OSU’s research leaders in the area of sustainable research to address the social, economic and environmental challenges of furthering green technologies. The purpose of this workshop is to encourage the formation of interdisciplinary, intercollege teams of researchers to submit competitive research proposals to external sponsors such as U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other agencies and organizations.

When: August 9, 2012, 8-5 PM

Where: Ohio Union, Interfaith Prayer and Reflection Room: Room 3020C

What: Form working groups, define grand challenges and research objectives for one of three research themes:

  1. Life Cycle Analysis for Sustainable Materials
  2. Green Chemistry Technologies
  3. Advanced Sustainable Fuels/Energy

Who: Space will be limited 60 research leaders from across Ohio State Details: Breakfast, Lunch, and Hors d'oeuvres will be served
